What We Believe

"The Christ, the Son of the living God...upon this rock I will build my church..." - Matthew 16:16 &18 (NASB)

Core Beliefs

Our core beliefs include that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God .  We have no other creed.  He alone is Lord and Savior.  We have no name but Christian, and no book but the Bible

Church

The Church belongs to Jesus.  We have no authority to change the teachings of the Bible, rewrite the rules, alter membership requirements, or take His place.  The Church is not a democracy.  God's word is final.  We are an apostolic church built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets with Christ as the chief cornerstone.

Bible

As much as possible, we imitate the New Testament.  That is why our Baptism is by immersion; our Communion is every Lord's Day; our leaders are elders; and our workers are deacons and deaconesses, our message is Christ and His salvation, and our prayers are in Christ's name.

Faith

Our Christian faith demands the best our minds can give, so we are a studying Church, seeking to apply Biblical truth intelligently.
We share our faith and His love with as many as we can reach and our possessions with those in need.  As believers, we know that everything we have belongs to God to be used for His purposes.

Expression

We are an emotionally expressive church.  We rejoice, praise, pray, love, and serve from the heart.  We are not ashamed of the gospel, and we are not embarrassed to let our excitement show.

Governing

We have no bishops, superintendents, national or denominational headquarters to determine local church policies.  We elect our own leaders, call and support our own ministers, and select our own missions.

The Great Commission

We endeavor to fulfill Christ's commission to disciple the world.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you.  And remember I am with you always, to the end of the age."
Matthew 28: 19-20 (NASB)
